Meet the Founder

A Prescott, Arizona resident, Eric Brockmire is the President and Owner of the Honest Water Filter Company – Arizona.

Eric has over 40 years of experience in the plumbing industry and 25 years in the water treatment industry. Eric opened his first company, Brockmire Plumbing Inc. in 1993 and is renowned for having the highest level of knowledge and integrity in the business.

Eric has a deep passion for water quality and has long-known that our water here in Arizona is becoming more difficult to treat. Although our municipal water districts do the best they can with the dollars they are given, water quality has been steadily deteriorating. Safe does not mean good. While the EPA may deem our water safe, there are still many physical and chemical contaminants that have negative effects on our drinking water on plumbing systems.

FAQs

  • Yes. There is a 1-year manufacturer warranty on the media and a limited lifetime warranty on the heads.

  • Yes, our systems are rated from 35 to 130 degrees. We also offer exterior covers to protect the filters from the elements and add curb appeal.

  • Just like your refrigerator filter, our cartridges need to be changed out periodically to ensure the maximum protection for your home and your family. Depending on the capacity of the cartridge, we recommend you change out your cartridges every 2 or 3 years. The one exception is our “Defender” Pre-Filter which needs to be changed out annual to protect your system.

  • Because cyst, bacteria, and other particulates can be less than a micron in size, it is important to have a sub-micron filter to block both live and dead pathogens from entering your home. These pathogens may cause stomach illnesses that are often mistaken for food poisoning or the stomach flu.

  • Chloramines are a combination of chlorine and ammonia. Chloramines are capable of disinfecting better and longer than chlorine alone which is why more and more municipal water districts are using chloramines as their main disinfecting agent. However, chloramines are more difficult to remove from water and can be more damaging to your plumbing system.

  • YES! Recent studies show bacteria is evolving and becoming more resistant to municipal disinfection. Because of this, having a physical filter (barrier) small enough to block bacteria from entering your home is becoming more crucial than ever. Our sub-micron (0.2) filters do just that.

  • YES! In fact, Honest Water AZ Filters are certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF.org) for performance. The NSF is the premier 3-party, independent testing facility for water treatment.

  • The simple answer is yes. However, from time-to-time, there may be contaminants that enter your water stream out of the control of your municipal water district. It’s during these events that you need a whole house water filter system.
